What is corrugated packaging?
Corrugated packaging refers to a type of material used for packaging that is made up of three layers of paper – an inside liner, an outside liner, and a ruffled or corrugated inner layer known as the fluting. What is the difference between cardboard and corrugated?
While often used interchangeably, cardboard and corrugated are not the same. Cardboard typically refers to a heavy-duty paper stock that’s thicker than regular paper. Corrugated, on the other hand, is made of three layers of paper that include a sheet of wavy “fluted” paper in between two flat sheets.
